Neighborhood Amenities
Pool
The neighborhood pool is located in the park at 16245 Havenpark. The pool house is equipped with dressing rooms, showers and restrooms. Lifeguards are on duty during pool hours and admittance is via badges that are issued annually. Pool usage is for Brook Forest residents, who may be accompanied by two guests.
Tennis and Pickleball Courts
Courts are located in the parks at Havenpark Drive and also on Mesa Verde. Courts are kept locked. Keys may be picked up at Community Management Solutions for a deposit of $15.00. Payment may be checks (payable to Brook Forest) or cash (exact). Please lock after using.
Playgrounds
Children's playground equipment is located in the parks on Havenpark Dr. and on Mesa Verde. In addition to swings, the parks have multiple jungle gyms for climbing and sliding.
Basketball Courts
Basketball courts are located in the park at 16245 Havenpark Dr.
Volleyball Courts
Volleyball courts are located in the park at 16245 Havenpark Dr.
Outdoor Exercise Equipment
Outdoor exercise equipment is located at 16245 Havenpark Dr. near the basketball court. A wide variety of equipment is available.
Walking and Jogging Trail
A walking and jogging trail is located on both sides of the bayou tributary that runs from Brook Forest Dr. to Hickory Knoll. Pets are welcome along the trails; please keep your pets on a leash and tidy up after them.
Little Library
A Little Library is located adjacent to the Havenpark Pool entrance. Take a book to read, leaving one in its place for others to enjoy. If you have multiple books that you would like to contribute, a refresh of the selections is always welcomed.
Horsepen Bayou Nature Area
Brook Forest is among the unique neighborhoods that border Horsepen Bayou. The beautiful natural eco-space is located on the south side of the community. Walking along the bayou you are likely to spot alligators, racoons, opossums, hundreds of types of water and land birds, and maybe even coyote or deer. People are often seen fishing along the banks or paddling a canoe or kayak along the waterway.
